Above, below & up real close

Inspired by Tasmania’s remarkable environment and unique wildlife. My watercolour art attempts to capture and celebrate the intricate details in nature, encouraging us to slow down, reconnect and take a closer look. Whether it’s the patterns on a bird’s feathers, the scales on a fish or the flash of light on the body of a beetle.

Creative illustration of a spherical school of fish tightly clustered together, forming a three-dimensional shape against a light background.

Exhibitions

I moved to Tasmania in 2011, prior to that I hadn’t really painted since I was a little person. Since picking up a paintbrush again, I have had the opportunity to share work in a series of exhibitions in Hobart. My first exhibition was Bird Nerd: Exploring Tasmania’s Avifauna, it was held at INKA Gallery in 2013. Subsequent exhibitions include the sell-out Once Upon a Branch (Wild Island Tasmania) and Small Island Big Sea (Wild Island Tasmania).
